The Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance and the Walkley Foundation for Journalism jointly host an annual public affairs program that brings communications professionals into a community and tackles contentious issues facing our media. Events include annual professional development events in Sydney, Canberra and Perth.

This successful convention program attracts tremendous interest from Media Alliance media members and brings together around 500 journalists,  public relations and communications specialists in conferences held in Sydney, Canberra and Perth.

Each convention showcases the talents and expertise of up to 30 prominent media professionals as speakers or panellists in discussions, lectures and workshops.

Each event also hosts cocktail and dinner functions, providing increased branding and networking opportunities for your company and its representatives.

The Canberra Convention will be held on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th August 2008 at the Rydges Lakeside in Canberra.  View the Canberra Program

The Walkley Foundation has also set up a  news and resources page to update the PR community on recent campaigns, media blow-outs and changes to the Australian media landscape.

The Walkley Magazine

Read The Walkley Magazine: Inside the Australian Media on-line or organise a subscription. The magazine is the only forum for discussion of media issues by and for journalists and is read by over 11,000 journalists and other media professionals.
